The prestigious ‘Chandana’ Bangalore Doordarshan award for the second year goes P Seshadri winner of national award for his film from ‘Munnudi to Bharat Stores’ seven times.

The selection of second year award for panel of judges consisting of  former Justice Shivaraj Patil – Shivaraja Virupanna Patil of Supreme Court of India, Vimala Rangachar, Ravindranath Tagore, Mahesh Joshi and expert opinion from the field senior journalist Ganesh Kasargod.

There were five names such as Hamsalekha, Dr Girish Kasaravalli, Dr Jayanthi, S Siddalingaiah and P Seshadri in the fray for selection.

After ascertaining all opinion former Justice Shivaraj Patil analysis was interesting. It is only P Seshadri wherever he goes he has not forgotten his ‘Beru’ – roots. ‘Beru’ is also one of the award winning films of P Seshadri. He has declared in all places that Bangalore Doordarshan was his home ground. This interesting quality of P Seshadri inspired Shivaraja Patil to declare the award.

The award will be presented on 17th of November 2013 at Ravindra Klakshetra says Doordarshan director Mahesh Joshi.
